One thing I would tell a potential student about the program is that it is a much more positive space compared to some other schools. Especially if you’re someone who doesn’t feel like you belong. For me, Gym class was always something I hated. It never made me feel good about myself, and it was more about being the best athlete, rather than improving, or having a good attitude. However at Nellie, It’s much more positive. Gym isn’t about who was the best, but rather about having fun, and developing a good attitude towards exercise. Now I walk out of Gym class laughing and enjoying myself, rather than the humiliation I felt at other schools. I’ve felt so much more included at Nellie, and I finally feel like I belong. Nellie is a great place for girls who have trouble making friends, or girls who just want to belong to a tight knit group of friends, because that's what Nellie feels like to me. Elise, Gr.8
